Background

A consistent and often repeated message of Jesus was Why He came to this earth:

  • Matt. 5:17; “… I have come to fulfill them”
  • Matt. 16:12; “… I must go to Jerusalem and suffer ….”
  • John 10:10; “The thief comes except …”
  • Mark 1:38; “Let us go to the other parts … for this purpose…”
  • Luke 19:10: “For the Son of Man came to seek …”
  • John 6:38; “… not my own will, but to do the will of Him…”
  • John 10:10; “The thief comes except … I have come that …”

The essence of this same Truth is captured in Acts 6:2 “It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables (KJV)”. And in the Old Testament, the Pentateuch (Exodus 8:1), the Psalms (Psalm 105:43-45) and the Prophets (Jer. 1:5; Ish. 49:1) do convey the essence and reality of this Truth; a Higher (Godly) Purpose for His Called ones.

Ephesians 2:10 captures this TRUTH in a compelling way: “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”

Thus undoubtedly, “our Christian experience does not and ought not to start and end with being born again, getting baptized, church membership participation and God’s providence and provision !!! ”

The Believer MUST Discover/Affirm that Higher/Godly Purpose and Role, he/she has to play in God’s Kingdom and comitt to it; This is the essence and gravitas of this webinar.

Especially so for the Christian Believer, discovering/affirming one’s Purpose on Earth, and taking steps to actualize it, should be of utmost important to him/her.

Upon restoration of our relationship with our maker through Salvation in Christ, the believer must be discipled to grow and mature to the point of discovering his/her God ordained Purpose and empowered to take steps to actualize it, unto the end, His Kingdom Come, His Will Be Done on Earth.

Thus at the end of his/her life, the Believer can say like Paul said, “ I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing” (1 Timothy 4:7 – 8)

Or better still, like our Lord himself said, “It is finished” (John 19:30)

This is the end goal of this webinar, that every Believer comes to the position of knowing his/her life Purpose and take steps to actualize to the Glorification of our Lord and His Kingdom and that at the end of his/her life, (s)he can boldly claim, that “it is done, I go to the Father to claim my rewards”

Approach

This webinar is placed within the larger framework of Blended learning where participants will be expected to do some reading or learning on their own. Thus, the webinar itself becomes a platform for further interaction exchange of ideas, co-creation and sharing of knowledge and enhanced participation leading to a more transforming empowerment. To this end, the webinar itself will adopt a Semi-directive Coaching style and integrated training methods will be used: Slides, Videos, Case Study and Discussions.

An adult education mentality is adopted with this event, thus unjudgmental attitude will be adopted during the learning and discussion process. The webinar is scheduled to last for 1.5 hours. Engagement with learning resources provided ahead of the webinar will provide sound grounding for participants and will facilitate ease in understanding of other information and insights to be supplied during the webinar. Additionally, handouts and notes will be provided which will further facilitate the learning process. An extended Questions and Answer session is also included in the program line up, allowing for a more comprehensive explanation for full clarity and understanding.

Facilitator Bio

Mr. Addo is our Event Facilitator. An ardent and passionate follower of Jesus who has been through the mills of spiritual growth and ministry. He holds a Masters in Development Management from the Netherlands, and several Certificates from the Christian Leaders Institute (USA), including Christian Ministry Award, Leadership and Youth Ministry. He is a Certified Life Coach and currently pursuing training in Church Consultancy and with plans for his PhD studies. He is very in tune with the ongoing Global Revival and by God’s grace and mercy, he has found his place and will passionately man that gate not breaking ranks.
